Here at Vanguard Motor Sales in Plymouth, Michigan, we sell a ton of great Chevelles, Mustangs and Camaros, but it's always a treat when we find an awesome Oldsmobile like this 1967 Cutlass convertible. Not surprisingly, when most people think of Oldsmobile muscle cars visions of gnarly 442s start dancing through their heads; and as nice as those cars are, they simply can't compare with a well kept, laser straight vehicle like this. If you're looking for an investment grade cruiser, this Oldsmobile is the car you've been waiting for. The body is nice and straight with no bubbles, waves, dents or scratches. The doors open and close as they should, and the panel fit is excellent. The door and trunk lips are clean and solid. The red paint shows excellent gloss and luster and the chrome bumpers are beautiful. Power is the name of the game where the top is concerned, and with the flip of a switch on the dash, it goes up and down with no problems. There are 60,000 original miles on this convertible, and you can tell is has been extremely well taken care of for the last 45 years. Mechanically, this car is completely read to go. The engine is a 330ci, 300hp, V8 that starts up quickly and easily, and runs great. Turn the key and the single throat 2bbl Rochester carb sucks air through the Jetfire chrome air cleaner. You will also notice a newer master cylinder, power booster, and stock ignition. The satin black paint job on the inner fenders and firewall looks great, and the little details like stickers on the valve covers and core support make this engine bay shine. This motor is clean, it flat out rocks, and it's all day reliable. The bottom of the car is just as beautiful as the engine bay. Let's start at the rear. There is a newer gas tank, a dual aluminized exhaust system and open rear end. New shocks and springs and nice bushings can also be found out back. The automatic transmission shifts awesome. The floors are solid, and the drum brakes have new wheel cylinders and flexlines. New shocks and solid steering gear can be found up front. There is a lot of shiny bare metal underneath this car, which means she has been well kept and clean. This is one heck of a solid survivor. Sitting at all four corners are Oldsmobile Rallye wheels and Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires (225-70-14's front and rear). Inside the car, you'll find a nice red vinyl interior that is both comfortable and appealing. The bench seats can easily fit five people for a cruise down Main Street. Creature comforts include a tilt wheel, power steering, power brakes and a power top. The dash is in great shape and includes dummy lights for the oil, generator and coolant. The speedometer works, and the mileage reads 60k original miles. On the passenger's side of the dash you'll find a locking glove box. This Cutlass is ready for the local cruise and car show! Documentation for this car includes the original owners manual and protect-o-plate. In summary, this 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible is a phenomenal car that is ready for an effortless cruise to the local car show. Call Tom 7 days a week! !
