1970 Plymouth Road Runner for sale in Plymouth, Michigan

$32,900

Lets not waste any time on this Plum Crazy 1970 Road Runner. It's a 383 with a 4 speed manual trans, and it's one of my favorite cars we have in the shop right now. It has been given a recent restoration, and the condition of the body and undercarriage is stunning. This is an off-the-charts amazing car. This Road Runner has traveled across the United States, starting its life at the Los Angeles, California, assembly plant, and then on to New Mexico, Colorado, and up to Michigan. Meep Meep!! It has been restored and is extremely clean, straight, fast and fun to drive! Why have a Road Runner without the high-impact color? The FC7 In-violet high impact paint is extraordinary, and the Dust Trail stripes along the flanks have been expertly installed. The restoration included new hood pins as well. The straight, clean and solid body is wave free and rust free, and the gas is original. All of the gaps, margins, panels, and door and trunk lips are clean, just the way you want them. The chrome and stainless is new, impeccable and looks appropriate on the car. Honestly, it jumps out at you in the photos, doesnt it? Under the hood youll find the rebuilt, date coded, 383ci engine, with high volume oil pump and performance purple camshaft. It's fully restored and highly detailed. The chrome air cleaner is sporting the "Coyote Duster" stickers and sits on top of the Holley 670cfm carb and Edelbrock Performer intake. Check out those painted valve covers! The orange paint stands out, it's a nice change from the usual chrome. You will also notice a rebuilt radiator, rebuilt alternator, electronic ignition and lightweight starter, Chrysler distributor, new master cylinder, Die Hard battery and of course, the Road Runner horn. The factory 4 speed (casting # C99129) manual transmission was rebuilt in 2009. Follow the rebuilt drive shaft, with new u-joints, down to the 8.75" sure-grip rear end with 3:55 gears. The exhaust system features jet-coated headers, stainless steel 2.5" dual exhaust, Dynamax stainless mufflers and chrome tips. The restoration included a new performance fuel pump, new fuel lines and gas tank. The rust free, scale free, patch free floors are covered in a beautiful coat of black paint, and the frame is in equally nice condition. Pinch welds and spot welds are visible on the frame and rockers. The suspension includes a new PST Poly front-end kit, new rear air shocks, new bearings, and new bushings on the front sway bar. Drum brakes stop the car confidently and a new steering box keeps it between the lines. Sitting at all four corners are a beautiful set of Rallye wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/A's (245-60-14 rear, 205-70-14 front). Open the door and check out the spectacular black interior. The restoration included new bucket seats, rear bench upholstery, door panels, arm rests, carpet and rubber Road Runner mats. The new dash is straight and the gauges are renovated as well. There is an aftermarket SunPro tach mounted in the dash, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player to supply the tunes. The pistol grip shifter and wood steering wheel are nice touches. This is one excellent restoration. Out back the solid clean trunk has fresh carpet, a spare tire and car cover. Receipts of the restoration are included in the sale. Beautifully finished inside and out, its ready to show at high-level events where it might be the subject of considerable speculation. This is just a cool car in great colors that is neck-snapping fast. What more do you want? Call today! 7 days a week
